Introduction To BS Accounting and Taxation

The BS Accounting and Taxation program at Hailey College of Commerce provides students with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in accounting and taxation, blending theory and hands-on experience to meet the growing demand for specialized professionals in Pakistan. The 4-year program consists of 42 courses (136 credit hours), including a mandatory 6-month internship in the final semester, and requires students to complete 32 hours of community service each semester. The curriculum covers key areas like financial accounting, taxation, auditing, corporate law, and financial management, and is aligned with industry standards, with courses validated by professional bodies such as ICAP, ACCA, ICMA, and CIMA, as well as the Pakistan Tax Bar Association. Upon graduation, students are prepared to work in accounting and taxation consultancy firms or pursue careers as independent tax practitioners.
